The Barrens Pack Axe is part of the APOC Survival series. It is a versatile axe designed for outdoor use. It is robust enough for larger tasks, yet still agile enough for finer work. The long handle allows for two-handed use, enabling extra force to be applied for bigger projects. Weighing just around 879 g, the axe can be easily carried in the included MOLLE-compatible sheath, both in and outside a backpack.
The Viking-style head with a pronounced ‘beard’ is ideal for making feather sticks, preparing tinder or carving notches for traps. Its shape also enables it to be used like an ulu knife for food preparation.
The Barrens Pack Axe is excellent for felling trees, processing firewood, or quickly building bushcraft shelters, making it a practical alternative to heavier, less manoeuvrable axes. The flat back of the axe head makes driving wooden stakes easier without splitting the ends.
The entire axe is crafted from a single piece of 9260 spring steel and hardened to 50 HRC. The solid, milled G10 handle scales are ergonomically shaped with a curved end to provide a secure and comfortable grip.
