Please note:
– This wick insert is not a cork or a stopper. It is designed to rest on top of the bottle, holding the wick in place, with its neck extending down inside the bottleneck.
– Before placing your order, please make sure you measure the inner diameter of the opening of the bottle you wish to use.
– For safety and health reasons, we strongly recommend using vegetable oils, such as sunflower, rapeseed, olive oil, or organic lamp oil. We do not recommend conventional, synthetically produced lamp oils or petroleum / paraffin.
– To ensure a soot-free, continuous burn, the wick should protrude only slightly (1 to 2 mm) from the holder.
– Do not ever leave a burning oil lamp unattended! Use it only on a stable, level, fireproof surface. Use heat-resistant coasters, e.g. made of metal, stone, ceramic or glass, and keep it away from flammable materials (curtains, decorations, clothing, etc.).
– Although a matter of course, we would like stress that oil lamps should not, at any time, fall into children’s hands! Parents should therefore always keep them out of the reach of children. When not in use, they should also be kept out of sight or be locked away.
